''Who, look at that one!'' the modern angler exclamis, staring at the blip. ''It's dang near a inch long. I bet that blip would go five pounds!''
Many anglers now consider a day's fishing successful if they've seen a few large blips. Soon, anglers will start mounting their biggest blips and hanging them on den walls.''I tied into that blip up on lake weege,'' the angler will brag.''Biggest blip ever recorded at Weegee.''

green is words of the month.

I have put some pensive thought in to this, and I agree. I think fish finders are help full, but getting that much involved is futile. I love to fish the old fashion way. That probably why I do not catch any thing. I think the lakes are becoming more desolate.

Indeed, hunters very often go through the following sequence to improve on the difficulty of their hunts.First they switch from modern rifle to the muzzle loader. With the exception of some exceedingly fast hunters, this limits them to one shot at any game. Then black-powder rifles also become too easy, and so they move on to bow hunting. Eventually, they go after even large and dangerous game with only their bow and an arrow, which essentially amounts to two sticks and a piece of string.

This vary true. My dad did this only he went straight to bow, skipped muzzle loader. He clams if was for he got more time to hunt. He is rifle hunting now, and has less time then the last time he rifle hunted. I think he is doing this because he did not get any thing the last couple years he bow hunted. When I get older I hope I am good enulf to go through the stages.

Captain blood.

It may be that he was justified of his gallant confidence, and that he would that day have put an end to the wild career of Don Miguel de Espinosa, but that a lucky shot from the Milagrosa got among some powder stored in his forecastle, and blew up half his ship almost before the fight started. How the powder came there will never now be known, and the gallant Captain himself did not survive to enquire into it.

I might be wrong, but I do not think it matters where the powder is.( assuming it is gunpowder) I have never herd of gunpowder exploding before on its own. When it is lighted it only burns. Like in the cowboy day, They put gunpowder in line to a pile of explosives. It would be stupid to light gun powder if was going to explode right there and kill them.
