A glorious age in Africa

Iron Ore was -and still is- plentiful in many parts of West Africa. It was easier to obtain then some of the metals used earlier, such as copper or bronze. Tools made of Iron were harder and more useful then copper, tools, farming reached new levels of productivity in West Africa.

We still use Iron in farming today. It is just a little different. Now days the farming tools manly way 10 to 50 tons. You put some gas in them, turn a key and they Moe with a 10 feet wide mower. And it does 25 miles per hour. Gets the job done a lot faster. But it is still fun to put in a garden.
